Weddings
We are delighted you are thinking about getting married in this parish. You can get married in any one of our three churches listed here...
St. Christopher's Ellistown St. John the Baptist Hugglescote St. Mary's Snibston
You will probably have many questions to ask about the process of arranging your wedding with us. This page is meant to help explain the process and answer some of your questions.
If you would like to book a wedding please contact the parish administrator, Ann Duckworth,
on email: [email protected],
or phone: 07395903807.
Ann will take your details and contact a member of the clergy on your behalf who arrange to meet with you and make the wedding booking. Currently the parish is in interregnum, without a parish priest, and Ann is the first point of contact for all parish enquiries.
In the Church of England, the clergy act like a registrar for weddings and so have to check that all the legal issues are covered. You will both need to bring proof of identity to that first meeting. If you have been married before please make that clear before the meeting. You will need to bring a copy of the decree absolute with you and be prepared to have a brief conversation about your previous marriage.
