How Much Does it All Cost?
HOW MUCH DOES IT ALL COST?
The final cost of the wedding in church depends on whether you would like the organist to play or the bells to be rung. The basic cost of a wedding in 2018 is £474. The bells, organist, choir and heating costs are all extra.
You will be sent a detailed costing sheet in January of the year you are getting married. This will help you decide what you would like the church to provide.
When you meet with the rector three months before the wedding you will be able to finalise the details and the cost.
WHAT ABOUT FLOWERS IN CHURCH?
You are free to make arrangements with your florist to decorate the church as you wish. Arrangements about access to the church can be made through the rector or church warden.
WHAT ABOUT ARRANGING THE SERVICE?
We encourage couples to think carefully about their wedding service and to make choices about who should be involved in the service, what should be read in it and what music should be played or sung in it. You will be invited to contact the clergy three months before your wedding to arrange a meeting to discuss these details. You will have the opportunity to choose music, hymns and readings. During this meeting we will arrange a time for a rehearsal of your wedding service – usually in the week before the wedding.
