Worship – we come together to meet with our God and to pray for those in need, for our communities and for the wider world; and to support one another. We hold many special services to celebrate Christmas, Easter and other festivals and to witness to the story of the Christian faith.
Supporting those in need - We support charities that meet the needs of people locally and around the world including the Coalville food-bank, the Children’s Society, Christian Aid, Farm Africa, and Open Doors.
Weddings and Baptisms and Funerals - We serve the community by being there for people at significant moments in their lives. Please contact the rector if you are interested in booking a baptism or a wedding. We also offer ministry and pastoral support to the bereaved. Please feel able to get in touch.
Working with our local schools - We go in to Hugglescote and Ellistown Community Primary Schools to take assemblies and the schools come into the churches for special services at Harvest, Christmas and Easter. The ‘Open the Book’ team also take go into the schools to take assemblies and act out Bible Stories in costume!
Working with other local Churches
To provide an annual Christmas carol service and tea for the elderly and children’s activities on Good Friday morning as well as other events.
Teaching the Christian Faith - we hold classes and groups for those wishing to be confirmed or to explore the Christian faith in more depth. Watch for details of the Explore groups on our weekly newsletter.
