St. Christopher's - Ellistown
Weekly Services
11.15am Holy Communion (not First Sunday) 3.00pm First Sunday - Messy Church Our aim at St Christopher’s is to be a church which can serve and be relevant to the growing and changing community of Ellistown. Consequently, we run afterschool clubs for children and young people, a community cinema once a month, meet up sessions for coffee and a social afternoon and all kinds of community events. Currently we are developing the St Christopher’s Project. This is a project to restore and renew the building and make it fit for purpose for the 21st century and to develop more ways in which the church building can be used to benefit the community. The 11.15am service is a friendly relaxed communion service. All are welcome. The monthly messy Church service is especially aimed at families and young people. We explore a theme from the Bible through crafts, a short celebration service and then we share tea together. The after school club meets at the Church on Thursdays at 3.15pm.to 4.15pm for children in years 4, 5 and 6, then 4.30pm to 5.30pm for years 7,8 and 9 for games, crafts and fun. |
The Ellistown Community Cinema is also based at St Christopher's. Currently this is held on the third Saturday of each month at 3pm (doors open at 2:30pm). The cinema screens U and PG certificate films aimed and families with children. Watch out for announcements on the home page. Please come along to one of our services or events and find out more about St Christopher’s. |
