Hobby Heaven @ Hugglescote

A great community venture to share our hobbies.  A fun, safe, caring atmosphere to mingle with all sorts of people, this will hopefully attract an eclectic range of hobbies and people who are frantically busy and need time out, the isolated, the lonely, those who just love something new and like being a part of an inclusive community, people seeking a safe environment who are mentally or physically fragile.  We are going to be a community that takes care of each other collectively whilst having a great deal of fun.  We can sit and do and forget this crazy world for an evening.

The team/organisers/marketers J are all Christians BUT this is about community and making friends, we will not be evangelising only if people ask will we talk about our faith.  There will be a table at the back that will have Christian literature, lending library, prayer tree etc but it won’t be pointed out.  Everyone walking through the door will be free to look at it or not?  And all faiths or non-faiths will always been welcomed. This is as inclusive as we can get; any gender or sexual orientation, culture, faith, colour, etc.

Unfortunately at the moment we can only take people over 16 because of the prohibitive rules versa our number of team members? But if adults come with children and take full responsibility for the evening: then GREAT!!

This is a ‘BRING YOUR OWN’ hobby to the evening.  It is NOT a teaching session but people coming and sharing their portable hobby.

If someone wants to start a hobby, then they are very welcome to look around sit by the hobbyists and see what they fancy doing then go buy the materials/get on the internet or go see what the library has to offer for instructions/and come and practise with us?

Any questions or worries please ask on the Facebook page or phone the mobile number: leave a message if there's no answer.
