Ellistown Community Cinema

The Ellistown Community Cinema shows certificate 'U' and 'PG' films suitable for your whole family.  It runs once a month from September through to May and admission is free.  You can bring your own drinks and sweets or buy them from our tuck shop.  We aim to show recent films once they are released on to blu-ray disc but occasionally we may show some older classics.  The doors open at 2:30pm and the main feature starts at 3pm.

Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.  Older children aged 11 to 18 can come on their own as long as we have a signed parental consent form.

Ellistown Community Cinema is suspended until further notice.

Did you know that...

Why is that a PG?

If you've ever wondered why a film was given a particular certificate rating  you can look it up on the British Board of Film Classification web site. Just search for your film and open up the 'Rating Info' section.
Our Equipment

We use a back projector that shows the films on a translucent screen and a powerful sound system to give that cinema sound.  This was paid for with a grant from the Co-op.

Our Posters

If you want one of our posters you can click its image above to download it as a PDF file, then print it out. Use them to pass the word round or just to decorate your room!

Run by Volunteers

The cinema has been running since September 2016.  It is run by volunteers.  If you would like to help please let us know, we are always looking for more people.
